People with intellectual disabilities have obvious obstacles in physiological actions, cognitive, language, communication, social emotional and behavioral ability, so they need long-term care. Such long-term care makes their caregivers facing psychological pressure which came from physical, economic, social, jobs, social discrimination and so on.If can not be effectively dell with it,it will become a serious threat to their caregivers’ physical and mental health.The study presents psychological pressure situation of caregivers objectively, and based on clarifying the impact factors of psychological pressure, we carry on a group work which conduct from cognitive intervention and behavior intervention these two aspects, so as to reduce their psychological pressure. After assessment we found that through the cognitive-behavioral group caregivers’cognitive reconstructed,coping ability enhanced and their psychological pressure significantly reduced. During the group process "safe and supportive group atmosphere" was mainly therapy element.
