Objective: The research was mainly designed to discuss on theclinical effects, safety and side effects of using PLD plus carboplatin astherapic case for the platinum sensitive recurrent malignant epithelialovarian cancer patient, so as to accumulate more cliniacal evidences tofind the best chemotherapy regimens for improving the quality of life ofthe patients. Methods: Retrospective analysis eight platinum sensitive recurrentovarian cancer patients in Second Affiliated Hospital of JiLin UniversitySchool of Medicine from June2011to December2012. Record everypatient’s detailed treatment and re-treatment cases carefully, includingages, pathography and past medical history, pathology stage, histologicaltype, the duration of chemotherapy, the survival time after relapse, theside effect during period of treatment and so on. The research useRECIST and CA125to evaluate the curative effect, using the CTCAE asthe assessment of adverse reactions.Result:76percent of all8patients have gotten complete remissionand partly complete remission, namely the effective rate reached 76%.The longest survival time with no tumor progression of the3patients who have finished the whole course of chemotherapy treatment is3months. Meanwhile the other patients have been taking regular imagingexaminations and tumor markers check, none of them found the clinicalevidence of ovarian cancer disease progression. All8cases had beenfound leucopenia,4cases in grade1anemia or thrombocytopenia.5cases(63%) occurred grade1or grade2stomatitis. All8patients showednausea, hair loss, fever, diarrhea and general symptoms in various degree, including hair loss occurred rate was100%. There’s no cardiac eventsoccurred. And1case had PPE syndrome after the first chemotherapy inthis scheme. All of side effects mentioned above could be eased bysymptomatic treatment and intensive care.Conclusion:1. Using PLD plus platinum for platinum sensitive recurrent ovarianpatients has many advantages, PLD can increase the accumulation oftargeting issue, reducing heart toxicity adverse reaction, improvingtherapeutic index and patient tolerance, etc.2. PLD plus carboplatin chemotherapy has a certain clinical curativeeffect. Achieving clinical ease (complete relieve+partly complete relieve)would be done for3to5treatments in average.3. The main side effects of treating by PLD plus carboplatinchemotherapy are cardiac toxicity, arresting of bone marrow, stomatitis and PPE, etc. The incidence of drug allergic reaction is quite rare, andfew of severe events happened. Intensive care and giving preventivemedicine could reduce the possibility of occurrence or syndromic degree. So PLD is more safety than any other chemotherapy drugs.
