| With the improvement of living standards, people pay more and more attention to their own health, at the same time, due to the aging problem and the expansion of population,the existing social medical resources are becoming shortage. Vital signs such as pulse, temperature, blood pressure are the pillar to maintain the body’s normal activities. Monitoring these parameters provide an important foundation for the clinical diagnosis and treatment,and can also reduce the workload of the health worker. In this paper, we use the latest embedded SOPC Technology,and DE2development Kit,which is produced by Terasic, this board has plenty of peripheral interface to make our design more convenient. Simultaneously, the FPGA embedded Nios â…¡ as the system core processor, and abundant IP cores also improve the design efficiency and quality.This vital signs monitor not only use to the old people and adults, but also can measure child’s physiological parameters. The user choose the needed option(such as pulse〠temperatureã€blood pressure), and the result can be show at upper computer,and make simple diagnosis.Finally, the data will be stored on the PC, set up a database,in order doctor to view the history when there is a demand.The system mainly consists of front-end monitoring part, embedded SOPC data processing part, and the PC interface design.The fort-end of the monitoring part is composed of three physiological sensorsã€independent modulation circuitã€and AD converter,be used to pick up the vital signsã€analog processing itã€sampling and quantization signs signal; The embedded part is the data processing centre based on SOPC, including the design of pulse temperature IP coreã€configure Nios â…¡ soft-core processorã€custom peripheral equipmentã€design blood pressure application in the Nios â…¡ IDE, that part mainly responsible for communicate with the upper computer, received monitoring commandã€processing digital sign signalã€transmit the results to the upper computer, etc; The PC interface using Visual C++6.0development tools, send control commands to embedded partã€received results in real-timeã€primary diagnosisã€storage data and delete history data, etc.The vital signs monitoring system use the SOPC technology, it improved the reliability and stability of the system, and the system overcomes microprocessor’s shortcoming which monitor system based on MCU technology, make the SOPC system has a strong portability and scalability. The system is a portableã€low-powerã€low-cost family instrument, has greatly effect to easing the shortage of medical resources, simultaneously, this monitor also provide greatly convenience for people to measure vital signs at home, it is not only has powerful social values,but also has wide market prospect. |
