Type D personality as a predict factor of Coronary Heart Disease (CHE) was firstproposed by Denollet in1995. Type D Personality is not only an independent riskfactor for the matality of the patients of, but also significantly associated withprognosis of CHE patients. Type D personality is an important determinant of healthstatus perception, and the results of the clinical lesions of patients with coronaryartery disease. Type D Personality has a great impact in CHD, while how it is to do.To understand the mechanism of Type D Personality impact the CHD,both fortheoretical research and clinical interventions for patients with CHD are important. Some people have found that the physiological factors and behavioral factors playedan important role in the relationship of Type D Personality and CHD previously, suchas heart rate, cortical awakening response, and proinflammatory and unhealthy way oflife. While many of the psychological factors are also the mechanisms such as copingstyles. In our research, we examine the psychological factors-anxiety, depression andsocial support, to determine the effect mechanisms of the psychological factors in therelationship of Type D personality and CHD.147elderly patients with CHD and146elderly health control subjects were included. The Mediating Effect Analysis Methodsand Structural Equation Model were used to analyze the data to explain the mediateeffect of anxiety, depression and social support. The results are as follows:1. The distribution of the type D personality in middle-aged control groups was20.0%, the distribution of the type D personality is lower than non-Type D Personality, distribution consistent with this distribution of Type D Personality of the population ofthe Western Health; Type D personality in middle-aged distribution of CHD patients is52.74%, this distribution is consistent with the West.2. The measurement tool of Type D personality is DS-14,the applicability of theDS-14is better, the scale has good internal consistency reliability, in the CHD group,DS14-total scale, NA and SI three of the Cronbach a coefficient were0.83,0.83and0.77, respectively; in the normal control group were0.89,0.89and0.78, respectively. The construct validity of the scale was good, factor analysis results showed that twoindependent factor composition, a factor that contains all of the NA factor loadingsbetween0.67-0.83, another factor includes all the SI items, factor load between0.46-0.75.3. Type D Personality and coronary heart disease in patients with anxiety\depression and social support were significantly related to the analysis, but thefactors of four scales (anxiety, depression, negative affection, social inhibition andsocial support) are different psychological structures4. Type D Personality has a significant prediction to the ongoing of CHD. Whileanxiety, depression status and social support play an intermediary role in therelationship between type D personality and CHD, anxiety and social support playsome intermediary role, depression play fully mediated effect5. Structural equation modeling results showed that type D personality throughthree paths to affect the occurrence of CHD. Firstly, Type D Personality impact thesituation of anxiety indirectly, then the situation of anxiety impact the situation ofdepression; Secondly Type D personality impact the situation of depression indirectly, eventually leading to the occurrence of CHD. Thirdly Type D personality impact thelevel of social support level indirectly eventually leading to the occurrence of CHD...
