Objective:To observe rehabilitation effects on post-surgery of burst fracture thoracic-lumbar spine (BFTS) concomitant with incomplete paralysis using Bu Yang Huan Wu Decoction.Methods:40patients, coming from orthopedics sickroom department of Cheng Du TCM university teaching hospital and Si Chuan orthopedics hospital, randomly divided into group A20cases treated by Bu Yang Huan Wu Decoction and group B20cases intervened with monosialotetera-hexosyl ganglioside. American Spinal Injury Association’s (ASIA) grades and motor scores have been evaluated before and after six weeks treatment.Results:Both two groups achieved similar satisfactory effect for ASIA’S grades and motor scores after six weeks’treatment (P>0.05), and adverse r eactions not been found during therapeutic process.Conclusions:Bu yang huan wu decoction has rehabilitation effects on post-surgery of BFTS concomitant with incomplete paralysis, similar to monosialotetera-hexosyl ganglioside.
