| The plant Ledum palustre L. var. Angustum E. Busch, a well known ediblemedicinal herb in North China, has been used to relieve a cough, relieved asthma andblood vessel dilatation. The ledum stems are the research object, then extrected withn-hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, n-butanol, the effect to scavenge DPPHradical, hydroxyl radical superoxide radical by n-hexane extractive, dichloromethaneextractive, ethyl acetate extravtive, n-butanol extractive are determined bycolorometry and chemical luminescence method. The experiment shows that thedichloromethane extractive and ethyl acetate extravtive possess powerful effect onscavenging DPPH radical and hydroxyl radical and superoxide radical, but n-hexaneextract and n-butanol extract have no clear role, which states antioxidant sexualcomposition of the ledum stems mainly concentrated in the methylenedichloromethane layer and ethyl acetate layer, and n-hexane layer and n-butanol layerdoes not contain the antioxidant sexual composition.In this research, four major antioxidant compounds were screening and detectedfrom this plant stem using an on-line HPLC-ABTS+screening system. Plant stemhave active antioxidant compounds, one of them was isolated by HPLC and identifiedby NMR. The study gives basic experimental data screening more antioxidantcompounds.The pure substance Qin endothelin was separated from the ledum, then comparedwith the VCand TBHQ and Qin endothelin of antioxidant capability by using DPPHscave the radical, the results showed that the Qin endothelin stronger than TBHQ, notas good as the VCin the same concentration, the result show that the Qin endothelinhas strongly anti-oxidant capabilities. |
