Objective: To explore the clinical value of the combination of transvaginaltwo-dimensional ultrasound (2D-TVS) and transvaginal three-dimensionalultrasound(3D-TVS)in the diagnosis of intrauterine adhesions(IUA).Mtheods:84femal with suspicious of intrauterine adhesions wereexamined separately by transvaginal two-dimensional ultrasound(2D-TVS),transvaginal three-dimensional ultrasound (3D-TVS)and the combination of2D-TVS and3D-TVS. The results of hysteroscopy (HS) were considered asstandard.Compare the detectablerates of the three methods in the diagnosis ofIUA.Results: The sensitivity, specificity,Youden index of2D-TVS and3D-TVSwere72.4%ã€62.5%ã€0.35and81.2%ã€87.6%ã€0.69; the accordance rates betweenthem and HS were71.4%and82.1%, and the difference of detectablerate had no statistical significance(P>0.05).The sensitivity, specificity,Youden index ofthe combination of2D-TVS and3D-TVS were94.7%ã€75.0%ã€0.70, theaccordance rate between it and HS was95.2%,and the differences ofdetectablerates between it and the other two methods before both had statisticalsignificance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of2D-TVS and3D-TVS is convenient, efficacious and non-invasive.It can be used as the first choice method for thediagnosis of IUA. The clinical value of2D-TVS in the diagnosis of IUA is notobviously inferior to3D-TVS and can be used as a routine screening method. |
