Study On The Preparation Technology And Quality Standard Of Shu Qucao Extraction

Shu Qucao, the dried whole plant of the Gnaphalium aff ine D. Don of the family Compositae which has the effects of curing cough and reducing phlegm and clearing away heat and toxic material. It contains many chemical compositions, such as flavonoid, volatile oil, glycoside, amino acid, starch, stigmasterol and ect. The Shu Qucao Extraction was the dry power extract extracted from the medicine Shu Qucao by modern technology, the total f lavonoids were the mainly effective substance. In this paper, the preparation technology, determination of the Gnaphalium aff ine and the Shu Qucao Extraction, quality standards and initial stability of the extraction have been studied systematically.In the preparation research, the effects of ethanol concentration, rate of liquid to material on extracting, extracting time and times were studied based on the L9(34) orthogonal test to optimize the process.The technical parameters of the extraction process was determined by analysis the results of the composite indicator. The tests proved that the method is simple, stable, easy and suitable for industrial production.The content of the effective substance of the original medicinal herbs and its extractive was determined by HPLC, using the luteolin as the reference substance.The experiments showed that this method was accurate, reliable and stability.The HPLC method was established to determine the content of the Shu Qucao original medicinal herbs and its extraction.Thin-layer chromatography was introdeced as quality identification. The ultraviolet spectrophotometry and high performance liquid chromatography were adopted for the content determination of its total flavonoids and luteolin content. And the preliminary studies of its stability test were completed in the topic.The nature and the shape, thin layer chromatogram identification, examination and content determination of the extraction had been studied systemically. The quality standard of Shu Qucao extraction has been established.This study provides a scientific basis not only for the quality evaluation system of it, but also for the Shu Qucao extraction to the industrial production and the development and utilization of the Gnaphalium affine.
