Clinical Research Observation On Nourish Yin And Tonify The Kidney Acupuncture For Primary Xerostomia

Xerostomia is a kind of syndrome associated with dry mouth,not an independent disease, is common disease of the old people. xerostomia is a bout dryness theory in traditional Chinese medicine. Because of ropy saliva,the patient offen feel dry and sPlited labium, abnormal taste, burning mouth.which lead to difficulty in swallowing and speaking. The characters of dryness patients are dry mouth,dry skin,dry hair,dry stool,red complexion.The corresponding factors of xerostomia include the decreased salivary secretion, immune-disease, infectious oral disease, medication, the mental state and so on.In the treatment,the western medicine treatment of the xerostomia is mainly symptomatic treatment.patients usually need pay attention to drinking water, patients with the use of saliva substitutes and keep the mouth cleaning.however,the effective treatment methords and medicines for the xerostomia can slove the problem.In recent years,TCM treatment of xerostomia has good effect. Application to the acpucture therapy of nourishing yin and tonifying kidney treatment of xerostomia.who are practicability、validity、safety and cheaper than other’s.The clinical trial method of this program includes acupuncture group,crossover treatment od drug and single blind. This study collects46patients who are consistent with the standard of yin deficiency of liver and kidney.46cases are randomly divided into treatment group and control group.23cases in each group, the acupuncture group are main point of acupuncture qianzheng acupoint,and auxiliary acupuncture baihui、fengchi、 taixi、zhaohai acupoint.Drug group need take the drug of zhibaidihuang water honeyed pill.Treatment regimens for4weeks.Evaluating the total Curative effect,the improvement ofdry mouth,the improvement of unstimulated mixed saliva flow rate,the chang of stimulation mixed saliva flow rate, the results are as follow:1.It has been proved in the research.the total effective rate of the acpucture therapy of nourishing yin and tonifying kidney group is86.96%,while the drug group65.22%.those group are significantly lower with (P<0.05)which shows the statistical significance while significant differences are found in the rest indices.2.after the treatment,significant differences in unstimulated mixed saliva flow rate and sugar experiment from both group have been found.(P<0.05)which shows the statistical significance while significant differences are found in the rest indices.
