| Objective:To study the expression of gli1in Sonic hedgehog signal and Foxm1in gastric cancer and elucidate the potential relationship between their expression and clinical pathological characteristics. Then, correlativity between Gli1and Foxm1was analysised. Methods:During June to december of2010,70objects were induceded after radical operations, among which70cases of gastric carcinoma tissues and30cases of non-cancerous stomach tissues were made, simultaneously the complete case clinical information were collected form general surgery department, the first affiliated hospital of chongqing medical university. The expressions of Gli1and Foxm1in70cases of gastric carcinoma tissues and30cases of non-cancerous stomach tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR and the relationship between Gli1and Foxm1was analyzed. Results:In the Normal tissue there is unexpressed or low expressions of Gli1and Foxm1whereas Gli1and Foxm1expressions are obviously higher in gastric cancer tissues than in the normal tissue. The high expressions of Gli1mRNA and protein in gastric cancer were positive related to the differentiation of gastric cancer and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05).Its expressions had no relation to patients’ age, gender, tumor size, depth of invasion (P>0.05). The high expressions of Foxm1mRNA and protein in gastric cance were positive only related to lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Its expressions had no relation to patients’ age, gender, tumor size, depth of invasion, TNM and differentiation of gastric cancer (P>0.05). The positive correlation was found between the expressions of Gli1and Foxml (r=0.897;P<0.05).Conclusions:The over expression of the Gli1and Foxm1in gastric cancer prove that they play an important role in the pathogenesis of gastric cancer. The positive correlation between Gli1and Foxm1prove that Glil and Foxm1have synergetic and mutual regulation in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer. The joint detection of Gli1and Foxm1may be of important clinical sign for tumor prognosis and to provide some experimental and clinical evidences for drug development and the treatment of gastric carcinoma. |
