| Objective:To investigate the safety and efficiency of domestic and foreign rapanmycin-eluting stents (EXCEL stent and CYPHER stent) in coronary artery disease(CAD) patients with type-2diabetes.Methods:Seven hundreds and thirty-two consecutive patients in our hospital from June2008to February2011,who underwent PCI were divided into EXCEL group(n=170) and CYPHER group(n=562)according to the type of the stents. The incidence of major adverse cardiovascular event(MACE) and stent thrombosis was evaluated during in-hospital,30days and14~33months (average22-month) follow up after PCI in patients of two groups. Results:Two groups were similar in main baseline clinical data and major angiography characteristics (P>0.05).One patient of EXCEL group occurred subacute thrombosis,ST rate was0.59%.Two patient of CYPHER group occurred subacute thrombosis after PCI, ST rate was0.36%. One patient of CYPHER group occurred very late thrombosis after PCI, ST rate was0.18%. In EXCEL group, MACE occurred in7patients, MACE rate was4.12%. There were no significant differences in rates of ST between the two groups(P>0.05).In CYPHER group, MACE occurred in13patients.MACE rate was2.31%,There were no significant differences in rates of MACE during the hospital stay,30days and14~33months after operation between the two groups (P>0.05)Conclusion:EXCEL stent was safe for the treatment of CAD with type-2diabetes and comparable as CYPHER stent. |
