Currently,the study of bone tissue engineering research mainly through experiments and numerical simulation methods. As the bone regeneration process lasted a very long period of time, based on in vivo test method is difficult to carry out and the cost of research is enormous.With the increased computing power and the new emerging mathematical theory, numerical simulation techniques for bone tissue engineering research has gradually in-depth study.This paper researchs on bone scaffold degradation and bone remodeling under the stress in vivo by means of computer simulation. The main work and achievement are as follows:(1) Constructe the bone scaffold degradation formula consider of the stress factor. Building the relationship between bone scaffold structure properties of elastic modulus and scaffold wall thickness use porous solid theory, describe the degradation of scafflod cell, calculate the thickness of each bone scaffold degradation.(2) Simulate the degradation process of the bone scaffold with bone regeneration process by strain energy density theory.On the basis of strain energy density,strain energy in the calculation when considering the formation of new bone on bone-scaffold system mechanical properties. Bone scaffold degradation and new bone remodeling are two independent and interactive process.(3) Finite element software and the subroutine to simulate the bone scaffold degradation and bone regeneration process. Using the changes of scafflod cell depicts the overall change,combining the hexahedral element and bone scaffold cell,using cell mechanical properties change process to explain the occurrence of the degradation process. Select a different initial bone scaffold pore size were calculated, the results showed that with the pore size increases within a certain range, the more ideal situation of bone remodeling.In this paper, the bone scaffold degradation model considers the effects of stress, can be a better description the degradation of the scaffold under stress situation. In addition, the paper proposed the simulation method to characterize the mechanical properties by geometric changes, simplifying the simulation process a large number of calculations,can be provided for future reference-related research.
