Objective:To investigate the relationship between obstructive sleep apnea hypopneasyndrome (OSAHS) and fasting serum adipocyte-type fatty acid binding protein(A-FABP) in Xinjiang Uygur and Han population. Methods: we selected60cases Uygurand Han patients respectively who were diagnosised by polysomnography (PSG) inradome. And selected52cases of Uighur and han healthy persons as a controls group,The leves of A-FABP were measured by ELISA. Results: A-FABP positeivelyassociated with neck circumference, waist circumference, abdominal circumference, thelongest apnea time(P<0.01),and adverse with the minimum oxygen saturation(P<0.01),and BMI、A-FABP were higher than control group, Compared with the age, BMI, sleepapnea-hypopnea index (AHI), neck circumference, waist circumference, abdominalcircumference, minimum oxygen saturation, the longest apnea time between the han andUygur OSAHS. The results showed that Uygur patients with A-FABP were higher thanHan (P<0.05), the rest were not statistically significant. Conclousion: Despite the ageand gender, OSAHS patients with serum A-FABP levels were significantly higher thannon-OSAHS group. The serum A-FABP levels in Uygur OSAHS patients is higher thanHan OSAHS. be the reason of the elevated fasting serum A-FABP, Uygur OSAHSpatients fasting serum A-FABP levels is higher than the Han, it is worth furtherdiscussion.
