ObjectiveDetermine the changment of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) number and thrombus precursor protein (TpP) level of Kawasaki disease (KD) children and research the different treatment effect of recovering EPCs number and TpP level with useing salvia miltiorrhiza after Kawasaki disease or not. Exploring the endothelial function, blood flow dynamic changement and therapeutic effect of Kawasaki disease.MethodsChoose twenty KD children in hospital to become Kawasaki disease group, eleven cases are males, nine cases are females. Divide Kawasaki disease group into two groups, one group only give traditional treatment of c-type globulin2g/(kg. d)×1day, aspirin30-50mg/(kg. day), until heat back3-5days, then reduce, at the same time give dipyrida mole3-5mg/(kg. d), named this group as the without salvia miltiorrhiza group; Except up treatment,The other group also give salvia miltiorrhiza injection,0.2-0.3ml/kg/d×5days named salvia miltiorrhiza group. Choose10healthy children as a control group,5cases are males, and the other5cases are females. Before treatment, use anticoagulation tube collect3ml blood of Kawasaki disease group and control group before breakfast,separating out mononuclear cells and plasma, use the processed mononuclear cells to test the number of EPCs by flow cytometry, use the plasma to test TpP level in with ELISA method, and analyse the results. Five days aftertreatment,collect blood of the without salvia miltiorrhiza group and the salvia miltiorrhiza group as upstairs, test the number of EPCs and TpP levelin, and then analyse the results.Results①The number of EPCs in the Kawasaki disease group is significantly lower than control group (P<0.05);②The level of TpP in the Kawasaki disease group is significantly higher than control group (P<0.05);③After treatment, the number of EPCs in the Kawasaki disease group is rised,and the treatment effects of salvi miltiorrhiza group is more better than without salvi miltiorrhiza group (P<0.05);④After treatment, the level of TpP in the Kawasaki disease group is reduce,and the treatment effects of salvi miltiorrhiza group is more better than without salvi miltiorrhiza (P<0.05)。ConclusionThe number of EPCs in Kawasaki disease group is significantly lower than control group, it means the endothelial function is damaged, the repair and regeneration function is obviously reduced. The level of TpP obviously higher,means the blood of Kawasaki disease is in high condensation state,has the risk of forming blood clots or myocardial infarction. After treatment,the number of EPCs and the level of TpP are all better than before,means the endothelial function and blood high condensation state are improved. The number of EPCs in salvi miltiorrhiza group is more higher than without salvi miltiorrhiza group, the level of TpP in the salvi miltiorrhiza group is more lower than without salvi miltiorrhiza, means the number of EPCs and the level of TpP recovery more better after using salvi miltiorrhiza. So salvi miltiorrhiza has function of rising EPCs and decreasing TpP, and then play a role in protecting endothelial function and anticoagulating. Salvi miltiorrhiza has function of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.It has function of activating blood and dissolving stasis in Chinese Medicine.
