| Purpose:To analyse the concentration of the matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in the reformation of intraocular fluid after successful vitrectomy. To discuss the relationship between MMPs and retinopathy and observe the effect of fluid-gas exchange on MMPs.Methods:Among75eyes with complex retinal detachment, twenty-five eyes were rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) with proli-ferative vitreoretinopathy C2-D3; twenty-thee eyes were retinal(RD) with choroidal detachment (CD) and PVR B-C3. All eyes after scuceessful vitrectomy received fluid-gas exchange in order to prolong the gas tam-ponade. All samples were measured by zymography.Results:1. MMP-9and MMP-2expression were checked out in all75samp-les reformation of intraocular fluid.2. In the reformation of intraocular fluid of RRD with CD group the proportion of MMP-9/MMP-2were obviously higher than the others The expression level of MMP-2in the reformation of intraocular fluid were significant difference between two groups (P<0.05).But MMP-9no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05) after vitrectomy。3. There were striking positive correlation between the expression level of MMP-2, MMP-9and the PVR reproduction (r=0.69, P<0.01) after vitrectomy.4. The expression level of MMP-9and MMP-2are decreased with times of fluid-gas exchange increased. Conclusion:1. the expression of MMP-9and MMP-2in reformation of intrao-cular fluid are greatly affected by the case of PVR reproduction after vitrectomy and RD with CD before vitrectomy。2. Fluid-gas exchange can physically decrease the expression of MMPs in reformation of intraocular fluid.3. This suggests a method to observe the repair state of tissues of eyes after vitrectomy through analysis the activities of MMPs in reformation of intraocular fluid. |
