Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of elbow rubbing lumbar Jiaji acupoints plusswaying waist mainly-based method and explore its mechanism. Methods:60patientswith lumbar disc herniation are selected and randomly divided into a treatment group anda control group,with30patients in each group. The treatment group was treated with elbowrubbing lumbar Jiaji acupoints plus swaying waist mainly-based method and the controlgroup was treated with conventional massage therapy. Observe the two groups’ changes ofclinical symptom scores and visual analog scale (VAS) before and after the treatment, andgive a comprehensive evaluation. Results: The total effective rates of two groups inclinical symptom treatment are both100%,but there are obvious differences between thetwo groups (P<0.01).The differences in improving the main symptom of the lumbar discherniation (P<0.01)and daily life activities(P<0.01)are significant. At the same time, thereare remarkable differences(P<0.01)between two groups in visual analog scale (VAS).Conclusion: The elbow rubbing lumbar Jiaji acupoints plus swaying waist mainly-basedmethod and conventional massage therapy both have good efficacy, but the former way issuperior to the latter one, especially in improving the main symptom of the lumbar discherniation and daily life activities. In addition, in alleviating the waist and legs ache oflumbar disc herniation elbow, elbow rubbing lumbar Jiaji acupoints plus swaying waistmainly-based method is significantly better than the conventional massage therapy.
