| Objective:To determine the clinic results of sigmoid orthotopic neobladder for bladder neoplasms. Methods:We retrospectively researched the clinic data of32cases who had underwent sigmoid orthotopic neobladder. The period of follow up was from6to72months. Evaluations included clinic, biochemical, radiological and urodynamic data. Results:The mean time of surgery was4.5h, and the mean blood loss was800ml. At least2cases had urinary retention. Mean maximal capacity of the reservoir was310ml after2years follow-up. Day-time and night-time continence were achieved in95%and45%respectively. Postvoid residual volume were only50ml. All the operation was successfully performed。14cases sexual function were recoverd。All patients were satisfied with operations。There was no recurrence during follow-up period. Conclusions:The sigmoid orthotopic neobladder provides a reservoir with a higer life quality and with the lower residual volume and with a lower penis tumor. The sigmoid orthotopic neobladder is one of the best options for urine diverting after radical cystectomy. |
