So it provides theoretical support for clinical application and research.MethodsThrough the full text reading the acupuncture monograph "Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion", it has the meaning of summarizing literature of acupuncture and moxibustion before Ming dynasty. And computer searches of Electronic database, includeing Chinese Journal Fulltext Database (CNKI), VIP resource system database(VIP), WanFang thesis database(WF) and Chinese biological medical literature database, and gather the literature material of meeting inclusion criteria. Statistical analysis data with the Microsoft Access database and Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. Summarized and arrangement of ancient and modern about the choice of acu-points lumbago, frequency, Channel Tropism, Contrast and analysis the application rules of acu-points, and the manipulating application method.reinforcing and reducing methods. This paper summarized the high frequency of points treatment lumbago in both ancient and modern literature.ResultsIn the ancient literature, the prescription were bases on single point, but modern literature are many points.And the same high frequency acu-points in treatment of lambago include WeiZhong, HuanTiao, YangLingQuan, ShengShu KunLun, ZhuSanLi, FengShi, HeGu, and the others have large difference.Both in ancient and modern literature are paying attention to the waist and leg when treatment lambago. In both periods, the Bladder Meridian, the Gallbladder Meridian,and the Stomach Meridian are main choice.And the most of the acu-points are specific pints in ancient and modern periods, and it is also noticed the using of ashi point and Jiaji point in modern literature.
