Objective:To explore the influence of ER/PR positive standard change on prognosis of molecular subtype in breast cancer, and investigate whether the change is reasonable. Methods:From June1999to September2011,1117breast cancer patients who received treatment in Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The molecular subtypes of these patients were determined by the new ER/PR positive standard. Kaplan-Meier survival analyses were used to identify the prognosis changes of the molecular subtypes.Result:Under the new ER/PR positive standard, the constituent ratio of Luminal A type, Luminal B type, Her-2overexpression type and three-negative type were47.2%,35.5%,7.9%and9.5%, which were different with those under the original standard(46%,28.4%,11.6%and14%), and these changes were statistically significant (P=0.000<0.05). In Luminal A type, the overall survival time of the original standard and the new standard patients have no significant statistical difference (P=0.760>0.05). The prognosis of the patients who were Luminal A type under new standard but were three-negative type under original standard is worse than Luminal A type patients, this difference was statistically significant (P=0.006<0.05). The prognosis of the patients who were Luminal B type under new standard but were Her-2overexpression type under original standard is much better than Her-2overexpression type patients, the difference was statistically significant (P=0.039<0.05). ER/PR positive standard change did not influence the prognosis of molecular subtype in breast cancer(P>0.05).Conclusion:1. ER/PR positive standard changes make the constituent ratio of different molecular subtype changed.2. ER/PR positive standard change did not influence the prognosis of molecular subtype in breast cancer.3. ER/PR positive standard change is good for us to judge the prognosis of patients who were Luminal B type under new standard but were Her-2overexpression type under original standard, but is not good for us to judge the prognosis of patients who were Luminal A type under new standard but were three-negative type under original standard...
