Objectives:In this researh we want to explore the feasibility and accuracy of the single beat real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (sRT-3DE) in evaluating global systolic function of left ventricle. We want to discuss whether its a reliable technique for clinical practice. Methods:All of the50hospitalized adults were collected in from Taigang General Hospital. Left ventricular end-diastolic volume (EDV), left ventricular end-systolic volume (ESV) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were collected and calculated by two-dimensional echocardiography (2DE) biplane Simpson’s method. The left ventricular EDV、ESV and LVEF were collected and calculated by LV analysis software by three-dimensional echocardiography through matrix array transducer. The EDV、ESV and LVEF from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were collected as control group.Results:2DE parameters were lower than those of MRI and also lower than the parameters of sRT-3DE.2DE parameters of the left ventricular EDV、ESV was statistically significant comparing to MRI parameters (P<0.05); sRT-3DE parameters were lower than those of MRI, there was no significant difference (P>0.05).(2) There was good correlation and consistency between2DE parameters parameters and MRI parameters which r refered to0.876,0.862,0.616.There was good correlation and consistency between sRT-3DE parameters parameters and MRI parameters which r refered to0.925,0.952,0.929.(3)Parameters collected two times by one examiner or two examiners collected one time have good correlation and consistency. Conclusion:Single beat real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (sRT-3DE) can acquire the global left ventricle full-volume image in one cardiac circle, without offline analysis. It can not be influenced by respiratory motion and arrhythmia. It can easily and fastly quantitative left ventricular global systolic function. It can check patients at bedside. It is especially suitable for acute and critically patients when their left ventricular systolic function need to be evaluated or followed up. There is a broad prospect for clinical application.
