Objective To determine the infection of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) in urogenital tract of healthy prechoolers, and to discuss molecular epidemiology of Uu and Mh in this population group. Methods Urine specimens were collected from410preschoolers of the kindergarten in Qingdao, All specimens were frist be dectected by Urine routine examination, then discarded the unnomarmal ones. Normal specimens were separately cultured by Uu and Mh selective liquid medium. The Uu positive cases were then amplified by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) to clarified into biovars and serotypes. Results The isolation rate of Uu in healthy preschoolers was6.62%by PCR, and the Mh was0.74%.27Uu cases were amplified by PCR,13were Parvum biovar(48.15%),8were Urealyticum biovar(29.63%) and6were mixed biovars(22.22%); The isolation rate of the male was4.72%(12/254) while the female was9.74%(15/154), The rate of the two groups had significant differences(χ2=3.903, P=0.048); The isolation rate of the Uu in urogental tracts of preschoolers from country was10.83%(13/120), and4.86%(14/288) were found in the city, the isolation rate of the city and country had significant differencesC(χ2=4.889, P=0.027). Conclusions The isolation rate of the Uu and Mh from lower urogenital tracts of healthy preschoolers is6.62%and0.74%, the isolation rate of Uu is higher than Mh; Uu Parvum biovar is the predominant biovar; The isolation rate of Uu in female preschoolers is higher than in male ones and preshoolers from country is higher than ones from city; Uu and Mh may be the common symbiotic organisms in lower urogenital tract of healthy preschoolers and they could be effected by the enviroment.
