The seeds of Herpetospermum caudigerum, are commonly used as Tibetan medicin for treatment of hepatitis and cholecystitis.Plants of H. caudigerum are dispersed at Yunnan andTibet of China, and India and Nepal.So far, there are some rreports about the chemical constituent of H. caudigerum. The research conducted by Xiao Peigen, manifested the constituent, such as lignans, coumarone, alkaloids, saponins, terpene, steroids, protein, fat oil, tannic acid, and phenols, in Herprtospermum seed. Foreign resarchers isolated the benzene furan and lignans types comounds, named Herpetetradione, Herpetetrone. Herpetol, Herpetrione, Herpepentol. Yuan Hailong et al isolated some compounds such as herpetolide A, herpetolide B, dehydrodiconiferyl alcohol.With the purpose of seeking for new chemical constituent, this article studied on the isolation and structure elucidation from the seeds of H. caudigerum, by extract with 95% alcohol, and fractionation with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate, saturated n-buoh extraction, Successively. Sixteen compounds were isolated with normal phase silica column chromatography, reversed phase silica column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20ã€MCI, semipreparative HPLC, preparative TLC and recrystallization. Their structures were elucidated by means of’H-NMRã€13C-NMRã€HSQCã€HMBCã€DEPT and other Spectrum methods such as UVã€IRã€ESI-MSã€HR-ESI-MS, combined with Spin light, melting point, was performanced. Detailed Results As Follows, Dodecanoic acid(R1)ã€Herpetotriol(R3)ã€10-Eicosenoic acid(R5)ã€Herpetolide A(R6) Dehydrodiconiferyl alcohol(R7)ã€Herpetosin A (R9)ã€Herpetosin B (R10)ã€herpetol(R12)ã€7,8’-didehydroherpetotriol(R13ã€Arbutin,1-acetate(R15)ã€Herpetospin C (R16)ã€Herpetolide A(R18)ã€Herpetospin D (R20)ã€Cucurbitacin B(R26ã€Î²-sitosterol (R28)ã€Kaempferitrin(R29)。Among the above, R9ã€R10ã€R16ã€R20 are new compounds, and compunds R1ã€R5ã€R13ã€R15ã€R26ã€R28ã€R29 were isolated from this pkants for the first time. |
