| Chlorine dioxide gas is recognized by the international community as the best idealchlorine disinfectants, which has been so popular because of its efficient broad-spectrumbactericidal, penetrating and use of uniformity. The chlorine dioxide gas was selected asdisinfectant for sterilizing the reading room of a college library and hospital. The air sampleswhich used before and after sterilization were collected by plum sampling method, and thenumber of pathogenic microorganisms colony was counted for evaluating the sterilizationperformance. The effect of chlorine dioxide concentration and sterilization time and the lengthof the sterilization on sterilization efficiency were investigated. The experimental results showed that:(1) Research on the sterilization of space environment in the library by chlorine dioxidegasResearch on the sterilization of space environment in the reading room of library bychlorine dioxide gas show that the sterilization rate could achieved to 99.23%, at the conditionas follow: when chlorine dioxide was 0.3mg/m3and the sterilization time was 60min;thelength of the sterilization was 20:00~21:00, under such condition, people can work and livenormally without the harmfurlness to the human body.In the research of the sterilization for space environment on the surface of periodicalreading book by chlorine dioxide gas, the optimum sterilization conditions were obtained asfollow: chlorine dioxide gas was 0.6mg/m3and the sterilization time was 60min, the length ofthe sterilization was 20:00~21:00, the effect of sterilization is obvious.(2)In the research of the sterilization for space environment in the wards of hospital bychlorine dioxide gas, the optimum sterilization conditions were obtained as follow: chlorine dioxide gas was 0.3mg/m3and the sterilization time was 60min; the length of the sterilizationwas 20:00~21:00.Under these conditions, the sterilization rate could achieved to 99.63%.(3)There are synergies between concentration and time of sterilization onmicroorganisms in the space environment through chlorine dioxide gas: In a certain period oftime of sterilization, the effect of sterilization is increasing with the increase of concentrationof chlorine dioxide gasï¼›At a certain concentration of chlorine dioxide, the effect ofsterilization is increased with the increase of sterilization time (5min~60min), and thebactericidal effect could achieve to 99.99% ultimately. |
