Object ivesTo discuss the possible mechanism of action and the effect of the Softening Liver, Removing Blood Stasis and Relieving Spasm on the treatment and prophylaxis of the cerebral vasospasm after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, to provide the clinical basis for the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine to the patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.MethodsSelect40patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage from the department of neural intervention in Guangdong Province hospital of TCM. Random grouping and parallel contrast are employed. All patients were administered nimodipine and fundamental treatment in the whole research. But the treatment group were administered NO.1prescription of Softening Liver, Removing Blood Stasis and Relieving Spasm before operation, then NO.2prescription of Softening Liver, Removing Blood Stasis and Relieving Spasm after operation. The serum specimen was obtained from40patients on3and7days after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. The contents of NO and ET-1in serum were measured by ELISA. The cerebral vasospasm was monitored with Transcranial Doppler(TCD). Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS) of all patients were done on the time of leaving hospital and3months later respectively. Comparison of clinical dates in the two groups was done by the statistical analysis, such as NOã€ET-1ã€TCD and GOS.ResuItsAfter14days’separate treatments, there are significant difference (P <0.05) between the treatment group and the control group in the5evaluation indicators:the incidence of the cerebral vasospasm in patient with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, the contents of NO and ET-1in serum on7days after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, the blood flow velocity of hibateral middle cerebral artery, the GOS of patients on the time of leaving hospital. It shows that Softening Liver, Removing Blood Stasis and Relieving Spasm has the the effect on the treatment and prophylaxis of the cerebral vasospasm after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.ConclusionThis clinical research demonstrates that Softening Liver, Removing Blood Stasis and Relieving Spasm has the effect on the treatment and prophylaxis of the cerebral vasospasm after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. This therapeutic method provide a new idea of treating patients suffering from CVS after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage and of improving the prognosis of these patients. Meanwhile the research provides the clinical basis for the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine to the patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. |
