The Clinical Observation Of Curative Effect Of The Acupuncture Combining With External Washing Traditional To Treat Peripheral Nerve Toxicity Caused By Anti-tumor Chemotherapy Drugs

Objective:This study is to analysis TCM etiology of peripheral neurotoxicity caused by chemotherapy drugs of antitumor, and to observe its efficacy and safety, with the principle of the dialectical treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, by acupuncture cooperating with the external wash with traditional Chinese herbs of dialectic to guide treatment and to observate the peripheral neurotoxicity induced by chemotherapy, and to richen methods of traditional Chinese medicine treatment for patients with cancer chemotherapy of side effects, and to explore curative effect of acupuncture and wash with herbal to treat peripheral neurotoxicity, for providing certain evidence-based basis to traditional Chinese medicine to treat tumors.Methods:With the clinical research method of the prospective comparison, Collect50qualified cases in the oncology of the first Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The control group uses the external washing traditional prescription to treat with the principle of Hexue Tongbi; The treatment group not only uses the same external washing traditional prescription but also the acupuncture treatment. Comprehensively evaluate of the safety and efficacy by acupuncture and the external washing traditional prescription to treat the peripheral neurotoxicity induced chemotherapy, through the observation of patients’neural symptoms and signs, quality of life, blood analysis, serum calcium and magnesium of the concentration, liver’s and kidney’s function before and after treatment. Results:1. Syndrome Of TCM of peripheral neurotoxicity caused by chemotherapy drugs of antitumor frequently is Qixue deficiency (36%) and Yangxu Hanning (34%). And Peripheral neurotoxicity mainly manifestates that feeling is unusual, with limb numbness or pain, and peripheral nerve is especially remarkable. The most common grades of peripheral neurotoxicity is Grade Ⅰ.2. Curative effect of the acupuncture combining with external washing traditional prescription in the first day,3rd day,5th day is superior to the external wash traditional prescription (P<0.5). But both of cure rates in the treatment in the first day,3rd day,5th day were lower (13%vs0、21.7%vs7.4%、30.4%vs11.1%. But in the7th day,14th day the curative effect of acupuncture combining with external wash equate the only external wash (P>0.5), at the same time as the extension of the treatment time, the effective rate is obviously improved.3. From the curative effect of Peripheral neurotoxicity, curative effect of the external wash or the acupuncture combining with external washing traditional prescription for Qixue deficiency and Yangxu Hanning precedes curative effect for Phlegmy and wet blocking syndrome and Yin deficiency and blood heat syndromes (P<0.5)4. Short-term effect of the external wash and the acupuncture for patients after chemotherapy KPS scoring change is not obvious (P>0.5)5. The external wash and the acupuncture Can improve clinical syndrome points (P<0.5)6. The external wash and the acupuncture before and after treatment do not significantly affect the concentration of the ions which conclude the serum calcium and magnesium (P>0.5)Conclusion:1.The most common grades of peripheral neurotoxicity caused by chemotherapy drugs is Grade Ⅰ; Syndrome Of TCM frequently is Qixue deficiency and Yangxu Hanning, Syndrome distribution of TCM supports the pathogenesis that patients with peripheral neurotoxicity is weak and blood stasis context, and that the external washing traditional prescription with the principle of Hexue Tongbi and the acupuncture are feasible.2. The acupuncture and external washing traditional prescription with dialectic treat peripheral neurotoxicity caused by chemotherapy drugs of antitumor, whose Curative effect is ascertained. In the short term they can improve patients’symptoms. Curative effect for Qixue deficiency and Yangxu Hanning precedes others. The external wash and the acupuncture Can improve clinical syndrome points.
