The Expression And Clinical Significance Of P57^kip2 And PCNA In Pulmonary Squamous Carcinoma And Adenocarcinoma

Objective:To investigate the expression of p57^kip2and PCNA in pulmonary squamouscarcinoma,adenocarcinoma and adjacent tissues,and to analyse the association andcorrelation between their expressions and pathological parameters.Methods:The expressions of p57^kip2and PCNA were detected byimmunohistochemistry in68cases of lung cancer tissues and16cases of normalpulmonary tissues adjacent to cancer.Results:（1）The positive expression rates of p57^kip2and PCNA in the group of lungcancer respectively were35.3%（24/68）、75.0%（51/68）,and the rates in the group of normalpulmonary tissues adjacent to cancer respectively were68.8%（11/16）、12.5%（2/16）.Bothgroups show significantly differences（P<0.05）.（2）Both p57^kip2and PCNA positiveexpressions were not correlated with histological types（P>0.05）,but were closely correlatedwith differentiated levels、 TNM stage and lymph node metastasis（P<0.05）.（3）Theexpression of p57^kip2was negatively correlated with expression of PCNA（r=-3.55,P<0.05）.Conclusions:The abnormally expressions of p57^kip2and PCNA in pulmonarysquamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma were closely related to differentiated levels、TNM stage and lymph node metastasis.The expression of p57^kip2was negatively correlatedwith expression of PCNA,which point out they have the same mechanism in thedevelopment and progression of lung canncer.And the mechanism may provide anotherprospect in clinical dignosis,therapy and prognosis judge.
