Aims The purpose of this study is to discuss the strategies of improving nursing work environment practically and feasibly after analyzing data objectively and deeply with the scientific assessment tools and methods.The study helps nurse managers clarify the present situation of nursing work environment systematically, realize the relationship among the latitudes and the influence factors. It is not only help to the improvement of the nursing work environment, but also conducive to safeguard the interests of the nurse, so as to promote nursing care quality.Method938nurses in hospital A received the nursing work environment questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA were used in the data analysis. The similarities and differences of the data which analyzed between Zhejiang Province Level3Hospital and SRRSH, provides practical reliable basis for exploring strategies of the promoting nursing work environment.Results The results shows that there were some weaknesses of nursing occupational environment need to improve in hospital A which are work load, approval and right guarantee. Nurses’perceptive score in Nine latitudes arranged according to the following order (from lowest to highest):work load, approval, right guarantee, companion coagulation, hardware resources, vocational development, management, autonomy, system support. Meanwhile, it also showed that in comparison with Zhejiang Province Level3Hospital Nursing work environment situation, hospital A had significant differences in these nine latitudes including work load, approval, right guarantee, companion coagulation, hardware resources, vocational development, management, autonomy, system support.(P=0.000).Conclusions The findings of this study, weaknesses should be concerned about in work load, approval, right guarantee in hospital A. It indicated the clear management direction for nursing leaders and managers, while making the nursing work environment improvement no longer stay in sensibility and one-sided level. According to the comparison and analysis of Nursing work environment between hospital A and Zhejiang Province Level3Hospitals, it provides the evidence to other hospitals that nursing management mode of Hospital A can be drown lesson from.
