Objective:To investigate the relationship between microalbuminuria and the severity in acute cerebral ischemic stroke. Methods:Treatment group,63cases, were patients with acute cerebral ischemic stroke. Control group,52cases, were patients without acute cerebral ischemic stroke. Microalbuminuria level of all the subjects were measured through immune nephelometry by IMMAGE800instrument from the United States Backman company. According to the level of microalbuminuria, treatment group was divided into five degrees:MAU≤14.7mg/L for MAU0,14.7mg/L<MAU≤30mg/L for MAU1,30mg/L<MAU≤50mg/L for MAU2,50mg/L<MAU≤100mg/L for MAU3,50mg/L<MAU≤100mg/L for MAU4.In treatment group, the degree of neural function defect was scored by the United States of America NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).Clinical variables between groups were analyzed by t-test. Frequencies among groups were analyzed by chi-square test, and Logistic regression analysis were also performed, ranked data were analyzed by speareman rank correlation. All data are analyzed by SPSS13.0software, and there was significant difference as long as P was less than0.05.Results:1.There were no significant differences between treatment group and control group in general informations, such as age, gender, hypertension, diabetes, smoking and history of stroke.2.The positive rate of microalbuminuria in treatment group is52.4%, significantly higher than that of control group28.8%,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).3. Hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease and low density lipoproteins increased significantly the risk of microalbuminuria (the corresponding statistical indicators were OR=5.435,95%CI=1.283-10.056,P=0.011;OR=6.854,95%CI=2.332-9.752,P=0.041;OR=2.121,95%CI=2.402-8.611,P=0.008;OR=2.044,95%CI=1.467-12.671,P=0.040).And the four factors were also the risk ones of stroke.4. The levels of microalbuminuria in treatment group and the scores of NIHSS were positive correlated, rs=0.433.Conclusion:1.Microalbuminuria was closely related to the occurrence of acute cerebral ischemic stroke, the rise of MUA may be one of the risk factors of stroke.2. Microalbuminuria was related to the risk factors of stroke, that were hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, rise of low density lipoprotein.3.Microalbuminuria maight reflect the severity of illness (neural function defection) in patiens of acute cerebral ischemic stroke.
