ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical characteristics and risk factors of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis(SBP) in hepatitis B virus related liver cirrhosis.Methods45cases of patients with spontaneous bacterial peritonitis(SBP) in hepatitis B virus related liver cirrhosis in the second affiliated hospital of Zhengzhou University from October2010to October2011were collected as the SBP group. The clinical data of the patients including general conditions, clinical symptoms, clinical signs and laboratory tests were analyzed. Another45cases without SBP were randomly selected as the non-SBP group. The data were analyzed by SPSS software.ResultsThe clinical symptoms and signs of SBP group were uncharacteristic. Most of the patients had various symptoms and signs such as abdominal distentions(73.34%), abdominal pain(42.22%), tendimes (31.11%) and fever(53.33%). There were significant differences between SBP group and non-SBP group on ascitics history, child-pugh grade, serum bilirubin, y-glutamyl transferase(GGT), the thickness of the spleen, diameter of portal vein levels, white cells in ascites, ascitic fluid albumin, serurn sodium reduetion. On the single factor analysis of significant variables, child-pugh grade, the level of serum bilirubin, ascitic fluid albumin were significantly different between the two groups.ConclusionsThe child-pugh grade score, serum bilirubin level, and ascitic fluid albumin were independently associated risk factors of SBP.
