Objective: Serum GGT level which is obviously relevant to atherosclerosisis, is theindependent risk factor for cardiovascular disease development, also can be as abiomarker for cardiovascular disease occurrence, development and prognosis, but therelationship of GGT level and the coronary atherosclerosis stenosis has not clear, thecoronary stenosis degree atherosclerosis were quantified through Gensini scoringsystem, then we compared with the corresponding GGT level, in order to evaluate therelationship of serum gamma-glutamyl transferase levels and the degree of coronaryatherosclerosis stenosis. Methods: Of161patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease by coronaryangiography, serum GGT levels of venous blood and Gensini score values according toGensini scoring system were obtained;two groups-normal group (3-66u/l)and morethan normal group (>66u/l))according to the normal GGT value (3-66-u/l) weredivided, respectively,Gensini score values obtained in each group werecompared;seemingly, six groups-group1(3-15u/l)〠group2(15-25-u/l)ã€group3(25-35-u/l)ã€group4(35-45u/l)ã€group5(45-55u/l)ã€group6(>55u/l)were dividedand Gensini score values of each group were compared. Gensini scoring method:Gensini score values are equal to each blood vessel stenosis score (vascular diameterstenosis1%-25%for1point,26%-50%2points,51%to75%for4points,76%to90%for eight points,91%to99%for16points,100%for32points;)muilified by weightcoefficient of pathological changes (left main5.0ï¼›proximal segment of left anteriordescending branch orleft circumflex artery2.5ï¼› middle segment of left anteriordescending branch1.5ï¼› distant segment of anterior descending branchã€middle ordistant segmnt of left circumflexã€proximal or middle or distant segment of rightcoronary artery1.0ï¼›and Small branch0.5).Results: Normal group and more than normal group Gensini score values ofcomparison: t=4.276, p﹤0.01; Group1to6Gensini rating value of single factoranalysis of variance F=18.45, p <0.001. Conclusion: An increase in serum GGT,even within the normal range, predicts theincreasing degree of coronary atherosclerosis stenosis. |
