Objective: To study the efficacy and safety of entacavir in patients with decompe-nsated hepatitis B-induced cirrhosis on24-week treatment.Method: Choose Sixty patients with HBV-Related cirrhosis were arranged to receiveentecavi(rn=30)and conventional therapy(n=30). The patients of the control groupreceived regular support and symptomatic treatment,The patients of the entacavirgroup rcecived entacavir treatment(0.5mg/d, oral) besides regular support andsymptomatic treatment. The changes of serum HBV DNA, ALT, total bilirubin(TBIL), albumin (ALB) levels, of patients in two groups were investigated. Results: After24weeks treatment, HBV DNA level ((3.1±0.9) log copies/ml) ofpatients in entecavir group were significantly lower than that ((6.7±0.5) logcopies/ml) of patients in control group (t=19.15, P <0.05); ALB level ((37.7±7.3)g/L) of patients in entecavir group were significantly higher than that ((34.3±5.4)g/L) of patients in control group (t=2.05, P<0.05); TBIL level ((15.0±4.3)μmol/L)of patients in entecavir group were significantly lower than that ((35.3±7.4) μmol/L)of patients in control group (t=12.99, P <0.05); ALT level ((29.9±8.4)μ/L) ofpatients in entecavir group were significantly lower than that ((42.8±10.2) μ/L) ofpatients in control group (t=5.35,P<0.05).We get the quantitative comparison of thelevel of HBV DNA before and after treatment. The level of HBV DNA after4,12,24week Treatment were lower than the level before treatment significantly(p <0.05). The level of ALT after4,12,24weeks reatment were lower than thelevel of ALT before treatment significantly (p <0.05). The level of ALT after12,24weeks reatment were lower than the level of ALT after4weeks treatmentsignificantly (p<0.05). The level of TBIL after4,12,24weeks treatment were lowerthan the level of TBIL before treatment significantly (p <0.05). The level of TBILafter12,24weeks treatment were lower than the level of TBIL after4weekstreatment significantly (p<0.05).Conclusion: Entacavir causes a greater decrease in levels of HBV DNA ofHBV-Related cirrhosis in24weeks.And at the same time improve the hepaticfunction of patients with HBV-Related cirrhosis.
