Moraceae Ficus is the largest woody genus distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, Oceania, Africa and the Americas. However, due to the numerous species, wide distribution, wide range of variations in morphological characteristics, different characterization in different habitat of this genus, the records of species characteristics are not comprehensive, especially is lack of the anatomical characteristics of fruits and leaves. The existing datum can not meet the needs of Ficus research. This study had selected monoecious Ficus can be found in China, included27chinese species and4overseas species in subg. Urostigma, subg. Pharmacosycea and subg. Sycomorus subsect. Sycomorus, then carried out a detailed morphological and anatomical study. First we researched herbariums of this group, investigated the wild resources, collected the figs in different florescences, fresh leaves and herbariums. Then we observed experimental materials in detail, recorded the data of distribution, ecological characteristics and the range of variations. We obtained the comprehensive and detailed information of each species, selected some constant taxonomic characteristics as classification bases, compiled the identification key of Monoecious Ficus in China, and drawed28pictures in allusion to important features of each species. And we also corrected and supplemented the errors and omissions in the existing datum, discussed some confusing taxa issues. This study provided new materials and new information for the Ficus taxonomic revision.
