Forest ecological benefits of forest resources as the carrier, the distribution offorest resources, the quantity and quality determine the distribution of forest.ecological benefit much. Scientific and effective monitoring of forest resources,the dynamic changes of ecological benefits of forest resources can have a lasting andimportant prerequisite for good ecological benefits, but also the sustainable use offorest resources, three-dimensional integrated development, a variety of managementand other work has an important role in the wizard. With the application of GIS inforestry deepening how to synthesize existing relevant data, the use of GIS technologyto monitor the dynamic changes of forest resources and forestry GIS staff concerns.In this paper, GIS technology, the1998and2008Dongtai, Jiangsu Province, thevenue of the forest and environment forest resource data modeling, storage,management and related computational analysis, establish a standard of forestresources and the ecological environment spatial data model, use of forest ecologicalbenefits expert knowledge of forest resources and to monitor changes in theenvironment analysis, within a certain time interval of the spatial distribution of forestresources, resource quantity, quality, and ecological value and efficiency of spatialanalysis, access to its changing trends and causes. This paper mainly the work andconclusions include:(1) Based on the original data in AutoCAD forestry GIS spatial database building,which completed the image preprocessing, attribute data and topological datareconstruction work;(2) Establishment of forest ecological benefits measure evaluation model,that iscombined with the environmental characteristics of the study area for a variety of theforest ecological benefits and draw an overall assessment of empirical data;(3) GIS spatial analysis and modeling through quantitative assessment of JiangsuProvince, Dongtai water conservation forest in1998and2009respectively,2.776million tons and2.953million tons, the total monetary value of forest ecological benefits were2.701million yuan and3.971million yuan. Ecological value of thequantity of money in various ecological assessment has a greater difference. Whichplays a leading water conservation value forests purify the atmosphere and the valueof1998and2009respectively, the total monetary value of87.6percent and90.2percent.
