In recent years, Bambusa intermedia Hsueh et Yi (BH) was widely plant in a big area, because it can produce bamboo shoots and timbers, and contains characteristics of small investment, quick operation and high efficiency. However, growth of BH was influenced by climate conditions, density and management ways, and so on. In order to solve situation of BH planting area was too big, low yield and low earnings of bamboo farmer in Yibin, our study employed following methods:(1) CK;(2) restructuring of bamboo forest structure and exterminating of disease and insect pest;(3) restructuring of bamboo forest structure, exterminating of disease and insect pest, and applying specialty fertilizer for bamboo at high (A), middle (B) and low (C) planting density of BH, respectively. Thus, we researched effects of different management technologies to growth of BH, this will provide scientific basis for BH cultivation and operating management. The results showed that:(1) Numbers of bamboo shoots:In the period from June to October, numbers of bamboo shoots showed the order that (A1)<(A2)<(A3),(B1)<(B2)<(B3) and (C1)<(C2)<(C3), respectively. The highest number of bamboo shoots was under the treatment of A3, especially3.34boots in middle August and the total numbers about25.12boots from June to October were the highest, respectively.(2) Numbers of diseased bamboo shoots:In the period from June to October, numbers of diseased bamboo shoots showed the order that (A1)>(A2)>(A3),(B1)>(B2)>(B3) and (C1)>(C2)>(C3), respectively. The number of diseased bamboo shoots under the treatment of B1was3.55boots which was the highest and1.53boots under the treatment of A3which was the lowest. From middle July to middle August, the number of diseased bamboo shoots were appeared relatively concentrate.(3) Growth Situation:Effects of the different management methods to height and ground diameter of BH showed the order that A1<A2<A3, B1<B2<B3and C1<C2<C3, and the best situation of growing was under the treatment of A3.(4) Volume of production:Effects of the different management methods to the production of BH showed the order that Al<A2<A3, B1<B2<B3and C1<C2<C3. The number of bamboos was1532shoots and the timber production was0.38t were the highest under the treatment of A3, respectively. In conclusion, the results showed that different treatment of density had apparent effects on enhancing growth of BH. Cultivating bamboo shoots and managing the fertilizer also had an important role in the production of bamboo shoots, and further more influenced the growth characteristics in later period. At the same time, the prevention and control of disease and insect pest were the key points on growth of BH and increasing of the production.
