Under the background of global warming, Land ecological system of carbon source/collect problem has already become one of the hot issues on the current international ecological science research. There are research forest, grassland and wetland carbon balance of research, however, there is little research system in the desert shrubs carbon benefit of our country. About carbon balance rule and mechanism research is still in the blank. The thesis adopts investigation method of biomass combining with the infrared gas analyzer, taking six kinds of desert shrubs in Alashan desert region as research project. It analyzes that the environmental factor influence the carbon benefits in desert shrubs community, starting the desert ecosystem carbon storage and carbon balance process and its environmental response mechanism research. It is conducted to Prove up desert bushes ecological system of carbon reserves, soil breathing and carbon exchange. The main research results are following:1. Based on the measure result, this thesis researched soil respiration of Alashan desert shrub communities.(1). in Alashan desert region, soil respiration rate of six major desert communities (Sacsaoul, Ammopiptanthus mongolicus, Reaumuria Soongorica Maxim, Ceratoides arborescens, pearl and Nitraria tangutorum Bobr) had significant diurnal variation and seasonal dynamics, all of them was shown a single-peak curve, Soil respiration increased congruously with increasing soil temperature.(2). monthly variation of soil respiration rate for six major desert communities was shown a singel-peak curve, which changed congruously with the change of near surface soil temperature.(3). soil respiration rate of six major desert communities was significantly correlated with soil temperature.2. Investigation method of biomass, the thesis researches carbon storage and annual Carbon sequestration of desert shrub communities.(1). In the six desert shrub communities in Alashan desert region, Nitraria tangutorum Bobrs root and over ground carbon content is highest.(2). For the Carbon density of six plant communities, Ammopiptanthus Mongolicus’ carbon density is3.18t/hm2., which is the largest. For carbon storage of six plant communities, the maximum is Sacsaoul which stands69×104t; the minimum is Nitraria tangutorum Bob which stands4.76×104t.3. The litter of desert shrubs community containing carbon rate change range is between0.4g/g and0.45g/g. The annual carbon storage change range for the litter of desert shrub communities is between0.016t/hm2t and0.2t/hm2t.4. Six desert shrub communities, carbon income values are showed positive numbers and performed in a function of Carbon sequestration.
