China Fir is one of the important semitropical plantation tree species and it planting area is occupied24%of total forest planting area in China, distributing17Provinces and autonomous regions. The characteristics of soil fertility and soil microbial distribution, the soil enzyme activities, the measures for fast growing and high yield, species diversities, stand biomass and carbon storages in the China Fir plantation fields had been investigated and studied on this paper.1. The distributing characteristics of soil fertility in the central Hunan hill China fir plantation area had been studied.(1) The highest soil fertility appeared in the China fir young seedling stage and from young seedling stage to half natural stage to natural stage the soil fertility was decline.(2) The soil fertility Enrichment zone is in the20-40depth for the China Plantation fields.(3) During the all growing stages, the P content was lower than the critical need value for China Fir growing and appeared famine condition; the N and K contents appeared no change.2. The soil microorganism quantity and enzyme activity Change characteristic had been De-terminated and analyzed.(1) The largest number of the soil microorganism in the central Hunan province hill area of China Fir field appeared at the12year old stands and the highest level of soil nutrient appeared at same time. The content of soil bacteria decided the content of soil organic matter, and therefore influenced the content soil fungi.(2) along with the China Fir age increase, the enzyme activity was increasing, but when the stand18year old later the enzyme activity was decreasing. Comparing the conifer-broadleaf forest to the China Fir plantation, not only the soil microorganism quantity but also the soil enzyme activity was higher.3The fast-growing and high yield measures for the China Fir plantation had been studied.(1) There were significant differences among the measures of site preparation for the height, Diameter at breast height and volume of timber. There were interaction between the soil preparation and the slope position; at any slope position,"liaohao" site preparation measure made the best stand growth effect, the big-hole site preparation measure make the middle growth effect, the small hole site preparation measure made the worst effect. So that the "liaohao" site preparation measure is argued to be used in the central Hunan hill areas in the China Fir plantation.(2) Intercropping and fertilizing were benefit for the China Fir stand grow, and all of them were effective measures to improve the stand harvest situation.4. Species diversity in the China Fir plantation area was analyzed.(1) The interruption of people was the important factor to influence the species diversity. In the half-mature China Fir stand, the Plant variety was richer; the shrub layer diversity index was higher owing to the thinning measure to make the stand with Small canopy density and so that it had the high species richness. The12year old China Fir stand had the biggest canopy density so that the shrub layer variety was lower and it had the poor species richness.(2) In the clonal China Fir stands, the plant diversity index was higher, and species richness was higher; in seedling-origin-ed China Fir stands the herb layer had the higher diversity index.5The stand biomass and forest carbon storage were studied.(1) for China Fir plantation the Biomass quantity order of each organ was:stem> root> leaf> Branch> fruit, plant biomass and biomass of each organ increase as the stand density increases. In hilly area of central Hunan of the2800-3700strain/hm2density range, as the density increases, the plantation biomass significantly increased.(2) in different organs of Chinese fir plantation, carbon and density were:2.7569t/hm2-159.0984t/hm2, and each organ in carbon, sulfur high density order were:trunk> root> Branch> leaves> cones, the carbon percentage order was:Fruit> leaf> Branch> stem> root, the sulfur content order was: stem> Branch> leaf> root> fruit.(3) fore the artificial Chinese fir forest carbon density size, according to their age ranked was near mature forest,>half mature forest,>young forest.
