| With China’s reform of cotton inspection system and cotton distribution systemgetting further implemented, China’s cotton inspection is converting from original oneby artificial sense to general international inspection of automatically andhigh-capacity HVI system by package. And there will be more cotton that has beenjustly inspected byprofessional fiber inspection institutions for cottonenterprises’ use.Meanwhile, as a result of economic globalization and the rapid development ofscience and technology, China’s logistics and storage industries are also developingtowards advanced modes of management by making use of developed informationtechnology, which lays a solid foundation and provides new ideas for the modes ofcotton logistics and warehousing management for China’s cotton spinning enterprises.This paper states the future trend of the development of logistics ware housing andrelated techniques about the development of software system and discusses therelationship between the development as well as index of HVI technology and thequality of cotton yarn. And on this basis, the characteristics and deficiencies of thetraditional Chinese cotton warehouse management are analyzed, holding that itsadvantage is simplicity in management: bags of cotton are shelved in the unit ofchambers covering a relatively small area. However, its disadvantage is that the lackof elaborate classification management of cotton makes it difficult to adapt to thecurrent situation of china’s cotton quality and meet the current requirements in ourcountry for high cotton quality by textile enterprises, based on which the mode ofclassification and warehouse management on the basis of HVI data was put forward.After ordering cotton, enterprises need firstly to classify them according to HVIindexes. And the cotton bales are unloaded to store in the warehouse after arriving atthe enterprise. Then, they will be stacked as originally planned. Bale classification canbe achieved according to producing area, micronaire, length, power, reflection of light,yellowness, the length uniformity or one or more certain indexes combined.Compared with the traditional cotton warehouse management modes of cottonspinning enterprises the system enjoys the advantage of differentiation, scientilization,rationalization in logistics and electronization in warehouse management. The systemmainly includes such functional modules as reasonable classification of groups, useradministration, the database management and query, printing of reports and stock inand out of cotton warehousing. The module of classification of groups realizes a accurate, scientific, reasonable classification of cotton; the module of useradministration functions to control rights of access by managers; the management andquery of database are mainly used to complete copying and restoring, security andsharing resources of data, by which all data information about classification, catalogof cotton in the warehouse can be efficiently reached. The module of stock in and outof cotton warehousing mainly deals with input of cotton HVI data and other relevantdata.The software system of cotton warehouse management completed by this projectuses Delphi programming, SQL2000as database, and the B/S mode as softwarestructure. Through the practical application in enterprises, the system proves to havereasonable classification for cotton and is helpful to improve the cotton assorting andspinning quality, thus reducing the risk of sampling in the traditional cottonwarehouse management. At the same time as bale’s electronic management in theloading and unloading processes reduces the possible errors so the productionefficiency of enterprises will be enhanced. |
