Lack of fresh water resources and low water-using efficiency in agricultural, makewater-saving irrigation technology become the general trend of the world irrigation techniques. As one of the water-saving irrigation technologies, sprinkler irrigation is widely used in theworld, due to its wide adaptability, easy mechanized operation and other advantages. In thiscase, it’s very important to make a correct evaluation of sprinkler’s hydraulic performanceand quality of sprinkler irrigation system. The current research and model of waterdistribution only think about one or two factors and can’t simulate dynamically. To facilitatethe evaluation of sprinkler performance and sprinkler irrigation system quality as well as thedesign of sprinkler irrigation system, in this paper we do some research about simulatingwater distribution dynamically and spacing optimization in the complex conditions. The mainworks and conclusions are as follows:(1) Using the Huang’s method of analyzing force of water droplets, we build the ballistictrajectory model based on Newton’s second law after analyzing the force of water droplet andin the slope environment. This model is more versatile for considering both wind and slope atthe same time. Especially in the0oslope condition, the form of the model is as same as themodel established by Huang.(2) To simulate water distribution dynamically, we composed the ballistic trajectorymodel and the model of pressure versus water distribution. Taking the catch-can data indifferent pressure as the basic data, we can get the dynamic simulation data throughinterpolation and calculating the position in complex condition.(3) After getting the dynamic simulation data, we can calculate the uniformitycoefficients in any kinds of spacing by the model of calculating the combination waterdistribution. The uniformity coefficient is used to evaluating the quality of irrigation system.(4) A set of friendly system, which can evaluate the performance and quality of irrigationsystem is developed in Visual Studio2008with the program C#and OpenGL. The system hasthree main functions: the data access module, single sprinkler simulation module andirrigation system simulation module. The system can also output the simulation resultgraphically. The system can be directly applied to practice to evaluate the irrigation quality aswell as sprinkler performance and help design sprinkler irrigation system.
