The forest carbon storage and sequestration were great concerned by the international Politician, Economist, sociology and Ecologist. Evaluation of forest carbon sink function had become the strategic requirements of carbon management. In this paper, Guangxi forest carbon sink function was estimated by the biomass conversion factor method on the bas of Guangxi forest resources inventory data. This paper had researched and analyzed the difference of carbon storage and the difference of density between the different forest age structure and between the plantation and natural forest. As well as evaluated the economic benefits of forestry carbon sequestration. The results show that:(1)In2010year,the total volume of Arbor forest was50936.80×104m3,the total biomass was31215.36X104t, the total carbon was15607.68×104t. The carbon sequestration capacity between different forest types arbores was significant different. The Volume, carbon storage and planting area has positive correlation relationship:Volume and carbon storage in the order of forest> Coniferous forest>Hardwood forest> Hardwood and Coniferous> mixed forest> Coniferous mixed forest, and the carbon of broad leaved mixed forest was maximum, which accounted for39.08%of the total. Chinese fir, masson pine and Eucalyptus was the three were the three optimal performance of dominant species.The relationship of area of different age group was that:young forest> fores>near mature forest> mature forest> over-mature forest,while the area of young forest and forest was84.75%of the total, Mature forest and over-mature forest was7.99%. The relationship of different carbon storage was that:Forest> young forest>near mature forest> mature forest> over-mature forest.The proportion of area andcarbon in young forest and near mature forest was largest in the stand,this showed that the forest age structure was unreasonable, the forest quality was low, caused the forest carbon storage was low; the other hand, with the development of the forest, potential of forest carbon sinks would continue to strengthen.Affected by the rapid development of eucalyptus and other fast growing forest industry, the natural stand in2010year had reduced38.42×104hm compaired with five years ago,with an annual net reduction rate of1.55%. The order of the natural forest in each age group area was that the young forest> middle-aged forest> near mature forest> mature> over mature forest. Reduction in forest area and the market for timber increased demand led to the reduction of natural forest stock volume, thereby reducing the carbon reserves of natural stand. Meanwhile, in order to slove the contradiction between supply and demand of timber, development and expansion of forestry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Guangxi had creased afforestation area of fast growing forest construction and eucalyptus and other short-rotation timber plantation area substantially increased in recent years, than volume and carbon stock quickly growth,and volume and carbon stocks growth were both greater than the he growth of growth in2005.The density of Tree forest carbon had increased from16.91to17.26t/hm2, but still well belowed the national average (23.41t/hm2). In all Dominant species, the density of oak was highest,the density of fir, eucalyptus and the masson pine followed by it. With the provement of fast growing species such as eucalyptus management level, the carbon density enhance the fastest.(2) Shrub land area was243.12X104hm2,and its carbon reserves was2402.03×104t,had reduced33.20X104t compaired with2005year, annual decrease of it was6.64X104t,with an average reduction rate of0.27%. The shrub was mainly composed of natural shrubbery,its, Its carbon reserves were mainly concentrated in the bushes of the special provisions of the State. Shelterbelt was the main forest species of shrubbery,and its carbon reserves accounted for94.67%of the total.(3) Bamboo forest area was34.09hm2,its carbon reserves was829.69×104t,and artificial bamboo and natural bamboo respectively accounted for80.29%,19.71%, and shelter belts, special used forest, timber, respectively, accounted for37.42%,30.37%,32.21%. compared to2005, carbon storagean had increase47.95×104t, an average annual increase of9.59X104t with an annual growth rate of8.71%.Bamboo forest carbon stocks increased because of the bamboo forest area and age forest, near mature forest and over-mature forest carbon stocks increased.(4) Economic forest area was178.19×104hm2,its carbon reserves was2111.55X104t,who’s shrub forest area was6.25×104hm2more than tree forest, economic forests trees used-rights owned by individuals, accounting for95.42%. Early production of carbon reserves were up to,and good grade and medium grade carbon stocks accounted for92.72%. These instructions of Guangxi economic forests operation in good condition, not only play good economic benefits, but also play an important role of carbon sinks.Compared with2005, the economic forest area decreased by18.77×104hm2, and carbon reserves from five years ago2333.98×104treduced to2111.55X104t, a decrease of222.42X104t, an annual decrease of44.44×1041, with an average annual reduction rate of2.00%.(5) The area of region’s forest land was1527.17X104hm2, forest carbon reserves of all forest was20950.95X104t,had increased5.51%. Various types of forest carbon stocks in the order of tree forest> shrub> forest> bamboo tree,when the carbon stocks of Trees accounted for74.50%of the total. Compared with2005, the various types of forest carbon stocks all had changed, the specific circumstances of the tree forest and bamboo forest carbon reserves were increased by14.43%,8.66%, shrub and forest carbon stocks decreased by1.36%,9.53%. Forest carbon stocks in the region had increased, but the forest overall quality was not high, various types of forest carbon stocks wass lower than the neighboring provinces,such as Guangdong, Jiangxi etc.forest carbon sinks had a great potential.(6) The value of region’s forest carbon storage was251.14billion yuan, compared with2005, the economic value of carbon sequestration increased13.07billion yuan,wich a growth rate of5.51%. Because of the proportion of carbon sequestrartion economic value of middle-aged forests and young forest was large,in the future, the economic value of carbon sequestration can increase by afforestation, reforestation and strengthen the management of the forest management activities,the room for improvement was large.With the carbon sinks market continue toestablished and perfect, Guangxi forest would make a greater contribution to our country in the negotiations and economic interests of the carbon dioxide emissions.
