As the improving concerning of the environment problem, more and more renew energy has been used in all kinds of aspects of people’s life. Due to its excellent charge and discharge performance, low material cost, relatively low environmental impact, zinc/bromide battery has been researched since1970s as large storage battery. In the early research, non-flow zinc/bromide battery was been abandoned because of its capability and size limits. However, nowadays non-flow zinc/bromide has been found its own advantages since its faster charging and discharging speed, smaller system power loss, etc. This essay has researched the property of none-flow zinc/bromide battery. The morphology and electrochemical performance of three kinds of graphite electrodes modified by carbon nano tube (CNT) were studied by SEM and cyclic voltammetry (CV), and the charge/discharge properties are studies when the modified electrodes applied in zinc-bromide batteries. The results indicated that the graphite electrodes modified by CNT could improve their electrochemical activity, charge current and capacity of zinc-bromide battery.During the process of charging and discharging test, the fact that graphite material could not stop the spread of bromide bas been found. Moreover, it will result serious self-discharge when two or more cell are being placed in series to get bigger voltage. In addition, the metal lead could be etched. As a result, organic materials (PTFE) has been mixed with carbon nanotubes (CNT) as a low resistance, opaque bromide organic composite materials in a certain process condition. And the scanning electron microscope (SEM), charge and discharge electrode experiment has been used to get the optimal compromise process. This work found that take carbon nanotubes, teflon mass in the ratio of1:3, using200℃annealing afterwards, can get the best performance. At last, the big battery electrical performance has been tested.
