In recent years, the frequent occurrence of building fire accidents cannot be irrelevant with organic heat preservation materials of building wall insulation layer. Therefore, the inorganic insulation materials usher in the unprecedented development prospects. From the comprehensive analysis of material, technology and resources, this paper has carried out the insulation porous board research and industrialization of expanded perlite or innovative inorganic thermal insulation materials. This paper mainly focused on three aspects:firstly, the optimization of the inorganic insulation board of sodium silicate and expanded perlite system; secondly, the research&development and industrialization of inorganic insulation board of the cement and expanded perlite system; thirdly, the preliminary exploration of a innovative type of inorganic heat preservation material, low temperature foam glass. Through the modification of sodium silicate binder, different kinds of expanded perlite, the grading and hydrophobic modification of expanded perlite, compared with the existing sodium silicate and expanded perlite system inorganic insulation board, the performance of the optimized board largely improved:mechanical strength increased by30%, the coefficient of thermal conductivity decreased by20%, softening coefficient increased from40%to70%. With regard to the study of the cement and expanded perlite system inorganic insulation board, set out mainly from the forming process, the performance influence of raw material formula and the maintenance research and so on, had developed a kind of unit weight about180kg/m3, compressive strength higher than0.8MPa, coefficient of thermal conductivity lower than0.06W/(m·K), curing time less than10h high performance inorganic board. Then the relevant research of industrialization is completed, with the pilot industrialization. In the preliminary exploration of a innovative type of inorganic heat preservation material, the high viscosity sol of Na2O-B2O3-SiO2, which are obtained by the colloid chemical process, have been foamed into a new type of amorphous, porous hydration glass, which is expected to become the next generation of a wide range of applications inorganic insulation board materials.
