Development and utilization of Biomass energy related to an important strategy forsustainable development. The ecological environment is improved; the shortage of worldenergy supply is alleviated. Biomass densification technology is that the materials areprocessed into low pollution, high burning rate and high cleanliness molded products.In this paper, biomass densification technology is researched. The briquetting press ofgear type roller is designed and studied in theory and experimentally. The concept ofbiomass materials, classification, chemical composition and structure are studied, the role ofcomponents of biomass are analyzed;The mechanism of biomass densification and influencefactors of biomass briquetting process are analyzed from macro perspective andmicro perspective. Micro-mechanical contact geometry is established in biomass briquettingprocess. The methods of biomass densification are studied.Overall program of the briquetting press of gear type roller is designed; the choice ofsolidification formation process, determined of solidification formation solution, the design ofdrive, the choice of motor and reducer. Forming roller and forming holes are designed; stressanalysis of materials is studied in the pelletizing process. Forming roller is analyzed by staticstrength FEA.Constitutive equation is established by the theoretical knowledge of elastic-Plastic andtheology in biomass briquetting process. Rheological laws, strain distribution andinternal displacement changes are revealed by FEA during briquetting process. FEAof temperature field is studied FEA of temperature field during heated biomass materialprocess, temperature change of different levels of biomass materials is analyzed in differentheating temperatures, and lignin temperature range of softening and melting. Orthogonalexperiment and per-formance evaluation experiment are designed. Adaptability of materialsand operating characteristics of the briquetting press of gear type roller are understudiedthrough the experiment.
