For a long time, the governance of slippery stratum and slopes of Chongqingthree-gorges area is always a touchy issue for highway construction. Along with theswift development of Chongqing expressway construction for the past few years, slopestability problems breaks out more and more frequently. How to efficiently andeffectively evaluate the degree of slope safety and how to make feasible preventioncountermeasures becomes a hot spot which catches engineers" more attention.In this paper, taking slope as the research object, the confirmation of reasonableslope-shape of slopes and the protection technology of pre-reinforcement was studiedby the research method of combination of numerical simulation conducted by UniversalDistinct Element Code (UDEC) and practical engineering application. The majorcontents are summarized as follows:①Based on the detailed field investigation on the slippery seismic subgradeslopes, research data and results predecessor were gathered enough and researched.After that, geological properties of Triassic Padang Group, Jurassic Pearl Blunt Groupand collapse slope of Quaternary system were summarized.②Physical and mechanical density parameters, bulk modulus, shear modulus,friction angle, cohesion and normal stiffness, tangent stiffness, angle of internal friction,and cohesion of discontinuity structural dimension of geotechnical of slippery stratumwere obtained by laboratory direct shear tests.③By Universal Distinct Element Code (UDEC), various major types of model ofslope of Three Gorges Reservoir Area was built. In addition, according to the simulationcalculations and analysis, safety factors of each type of slope in different workingconditions can be evaluated.④Numerical simulation analysis of the model of entity slope was carried out.Furthermore, advance strengthened its anti-slide pile under conditions of naturalheavy-rain.⑤On the basis of numerical simulation result, different forms of reasonableslope-shape of slippery stratum and the advantages of protection technology ofpre-reinforcement were put forward.
