The soil composition was different between saline soil amd general soil. In solid phase there exists crystallization salt.and in liquid phase with salt solution,It has its own character istics with the deformation and strength. With the development of our national economy, some large construction will be difficult to avoid the avoid through the saline soil, It is significance for us to research on the basic properties of saline soil.This article takes the method which combine with the test indoor numerical calculation.It uses the uniform orthogonal design in the test for total salt content and different ion content (sulfate and chloride), dry density, moisture content of the artificial soil (clay), through the limit moisture content test, shear strength test and the use of projection pursuit regression analysis method research of saline soil physical state and the change of mechanical properties, combined with numerical analysis for stability of slope on soil physical, mechanical properties on slope stability influence rule. Findings:do limit moisture content test, soil with sodium chloride, along with the increase of the salt content, soil liquid plastic limit declined. Adding sodium sulfate. with the increase of the salt content,soil liquid plastic limit increased. Volume change, expansion phenomenon. Half of the increase, along with the increase of the salt content,soil liquid plastic limit limit drops apparently, little change; do experiment on shear strength of soil with NaCl internal friction angle with salt content increasing, cohesion with salt content increase and has significantly reduced. Join Na2SO4, the curve of the change trend and the accession to the NaCl situation is basic and same, difference is bigger cohesion.This thesis applies widely in limit equilibrium method Fellenius method, Bishop method, jean cloth (Janbu) general slice method for slope stability analysis. Research shows that:the stability of cohesive soil slopes coefficient according to the salt content increasing, and sulphate salty soil with chlorine saline soil safety coefficient comparison of sulphate salty soil safety coefficient is big.
