With the rapid development of the road, road maintenance is particularly important.Preventive maintenance of pavement can effectively improve the existing traffic conditions,delaying the pavement damage, by extending the original pavement life to defer expensiveoverhaul and reconstruction activities. Engineering practice indicates that the fiber asphaltchip seal, not only can quickly and effectively improve the pavement surface function, butalso has good durability. However, the introduction of domestic fiber asphalt chip seal in arelatively short time, the relevant properties and mechanisms is less. In this study, relying onentities project of the Zhejiang area fiber asphalt chip seal, from the composite material theory,using the micromechanics analysis fiber asphalt chip seal mechanical properties, and thenstudy on the role of crack resistance of fiber asphalt chip seal; from the material and structurestudy on fiber asphalt chip seal slide resistant and waterproof mechanism, and analysis therelationship between mechanical properties and surface function, finally, relying on entitiesproject surface function tests to verify, provide theoretical support for the promotion andapplication of this technology in China.In view of the special structure of fiber asphalt chip seal, this research introduces themechanics of composite materials research method, combines with used materials and amountbased on entities project, estimates fiber asphalt chip seal modulus; using ANSYS finiteelement software simulates single fiber pull-out experiment, creates contact model, study onfiber/asphalt stress distribution, analysis fiber-reinforced mechanism; based on the study ofinterface characteristics, establish uniform fiber/asphalt fabric model, analysis the fiberasphalt chip seal stress dispersion effect, by calculation and experiment to analyze the impactof each factor on mechanical properties, while establishing the contrast model to analyzeother preventive maintenance technology force characteristics, and then study the crackresistance of fiber asphalt chip seal. In addition, this study suggests that the excellent stressdispersion is beneficial to improving the durability of fiber asphalt chip seal slide resistant andwaterproof performance. From the perspective of materials and structure, studies fiber asphalt chip seal slide resistant and waterproof mechanism, then analyses the relationship betweenmechanical properties and surface function, finally, relying on entities project surfacefunctional testing to verify. In this study, comprehensive analysis fiber asphalt chip sealmechanical properties, skid resistance and water resistance, and studies the relationshipbetween the three. The study have found that due to fiber asphalt chip seal with excellentmechanical properties, improves the durability of the sliding and waterproof, at the same time,good slip-resistant and waterproof properties also help to ensure the enhancement of fiber.
