Steel-reinforced high-performance concrete filled steel tube(SRCFST) column formed by inserting structural steel into concrete-filled circular steel tube, is a new type of modern composite column. This type of composite column has the advantages of both steel-reinforced concrete (SRC) structures and concrete filled steel tube (CFST) structures. There has been much research about the mechanical behavior of the composite column, but the research on its connection is relatively backward. Based on the above-mentioned situations, the concrete filled steel tubular column-steel beam throughout assembly is introduced in this dissertation. That is a new form of connection, which is formed by steel reinforced beam and high-performance concrete-filled steel tubes joining together using the steel beam through the column body. In this dissertation, based on previous research achievements of steel-concrete composite connection, the mechanical properties and design method of this new type connection have been extensively investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The main contents are as follows:1.Current research status of the concrete filled steel structure and the steel-reinforced concrete structure at home and abroad has been summarized in this paper. The existing problems and future trends have been pointed out.2. The pseudo static experimental studies on the behaviours of5connections of Steel-reinforced high-performance concrete filled steel tube (SRCFST) columns-steel reinforced beam were designed. And these experiments have been carried out. Macroscopical deformation characteristics, failure mechanism, failure modes, ductility, strength degradation, rigidity strength degradation, energy dissipation of this new type connection under low reversed cyclic loading were observed and studied.3. In this paper the seismic performance and damage mechanism of these nodes have also been analized through changing the tube thickness, structural steel index, and confining parameter.4. Based on the experimental studies of the shear behavior for the panel zone in throughout connections, the calculate method of complete shear loading process for connections of Steel-reinforced concrete filled tube(SRCFST) columns-steel reinforced beam was roposed. The formulas calculating the shear bearing capacities of steel tube, steel and concrete were delived too. Finally the loading process of the whole connection can be obtained by superimposing each component. So the brief calculation method of such connection for engineering design was offered.
