Infilled frame is a complex composite structure, so it has the features of both the framework structure and the masonry structure. Filler wall has a great influence on seismic performance of the frame structure. In the development process of the cities, infilled frame plays an important role. Because of its flexible architectural layout, the obtained large space can be used as a shopping center, hotel lobby, parking lot and it also can be used as a residential, office when divided by filler walls.This paper conducted the following study:1. A reasonable and effective model is necessary to analyze the filler walls’great influence on seismic performance of the frame structure. This paper focuses on the filler walls without openings.So a frame-filled masonry shear wall model is used in consideration of the filling walls’quantity, layout and the position of floors and other factors to be calculated and compared by Sap2000software.2. Based on the modal analysis of six models, we obtain the effect of the filling walls’ quantity and layout on the self vibration period of the structure in this paper.3. Time-history analysis method is used on the structure to obtain a number of maximum displacements of floors and shears of models. The data is analyzed and compared so we get the influence of the filler wall on lateral stiffness of the structure.4. Compare the influence of windows walls on the internal forces of the columns from different floors.5. Compare the effect on the frame structure of filling wall as a non structural components and structural components.
