In many extremely harsh conditions, the moving parts is difficult to use conventional grease lubrication, such as in the dust, sand, humidity and other harsh environment of the mining machinery transmission parts, transmission parts of the machinery of the ship in the sea water and acid and under other corrosive media, these transmission usually work under the conditions of dry friction. Therefore, the tribological properties of the material under dry friction conditions is necessary. Heat treatment organizations of their friction and wear properties have a tremendous impact, low strength and hardness of the specimen, severe adhesive wear even glued phenomenon during the test. The experiment can not take the pin/disk or ball/disc contact. therefore taken the load-bearing surface and rotating the shaft with the friction ring test method to test the wear testing device with lathe.In this study, first make the ring (ZG25MnCrNiMo steel) quenched, then quenching,quenching and tempering and annealing of the shaft (40Mn2 of steel) to match experiment, three groups of trials are not large impact on the ring, while the quenching, quenching and tempering,annealing shaft wear volume higher and higher. Quenching and tempering treatment followed by ring shaft quenching, quenching and tempering and annealing, the results of annealing of the shaft, the amount of wear rings, shaft are much larger than the quenched and quenched shaft, while the quenching and tempering and quenching gap between the shaft of the amount of wear rings, shaft. Finally, make the ring local quenching process, the shaft to be quenched and tempered and quenched, quenching the shaft than the amount of wear of the shaft of quenched and tempered ring, quenched and the amount of wear on the shaft to be slightly higher than the quenched shaft wear. Obtained by changing the heat treatment process (major changes in its hardness), the amount of wear on the ring and axis have been significantly affected the conclusions.In addition, Mosaic PTFE metal matrix than the coefficient of friction of not inlaid metal matrix stability and low coefficient of friction of about 0.45, the friction coefficient decreases with the increase of solid lubricant embedded in the amount reduced from 0.45 to 0.35, not inlaid with solid lubrication agent of the friction coefficient was stable at 0.9. Increasing load, the lubricating film of solid lubricant is gradually destroyed, the friction coefficient begins to increase, but still less than the embedded solid lubricant friction coefficient, friction coefficient can not be more in the metal matrix is not inlaid with solid lubricant a stable value. As the speed increases, the enrichment in the surface of the solid lubricant is more uniform, easier to form a lubricating film, reducing the amount of wear. But the speed still is not too large, to avoid destruction of the integrity of the friction surface of the solid lubricant film. Therefore, the correct use of mosaic self-lubricating composite materials plays an important role to change the tribological properties.
