Pipe roof method is an auxiliary method of tunnel construction, under the situation thatthe tunnel pass through the fracture zone, the incompact zone, the weak strata, the section ofwater inflow and Poured sand area. Tube roof with its advanced grouting not only can restrictsurface subsidence effectively, but also can insure working face and stratum are in a safesituation. Therefore, pipe shed method is widely used in solving field engineering problems.This article based on the existing theories, is dong a further research on pipe roof functionmachine while going a reasonable parametric design. Here is detailed research content and themain research result.(1) A summary about pipe roof of supporting design both national and international with adetailed analysis on the usages, shapes and deign procedures of pipe supporting, in order forus to understand clearly the current situation of pipe roof and questions remained.(2) Put forward determination method of pipe shed load and analyze the algorithm. Thedetermination of pipe shed load is related to the burial depth of tunnel. whenhp (2.0~2.5ha),the tunnel is considered as deep buried. Tunnel vertical stress is not relatedto the burial depth of surrounding rocks above the tunnel, but related to the collapsed slump.When the tunnel is shallow, surrounding rocks above the tunnel all effect on pipe shed. If theground is horizontal,the vertical stress effecting on the pipe shed is q γH.(3) This article giving a deep analysis into mechanism of action, putting forward stressmodel of pipe roof, and a further derivation of deflection, corner, bending moment and shearequation of pipe roof.(4) Analysis of the existing judgments of method of slope stability, putting forward suitablejudgment methods of the stability of Tunnel working face.(5) Based on the calculation program of theoretical analysis formula and the numerical method of pipe roof support, to analysis the influential elements of pipe roof role fromcalculated results.
