Component-based mathematical model of engine is the base of engine control system digitalsimulation and semi-physical simulation research, and the base of engine health management andfault diagnosis.Component-based mathematical model of turbo-shaft engineand control technology wasayalyzed in this paper, then relevant literature for turbo-shaft engine control technology at home andabroad was referred. Generally, turbo-shaft engine control law is divided into three parts: Steady-statecontrol law, transition state control law and limit protection control law. On the basis of analyzing thecontrol principle, control targets were explicated, and control laws were designed. Steady-state controllaw is on the cascade PID control of power turbine speed with gas generator speed; In view of theimportance of acceleration and deceleration, several methods were studied for the process:(1)thecascade PID control of the rate of change of gas generator speed with power turbine speed, simulationresults is satisfying;(2)PID control based on BP neural network algorithm, results of simulation showthat the PID base on BP neural network can adjustment of control parameters according to the engineperformance;then optical control based on Genetic Algorithm, simulation results show it is feasible toapply genetic algorithm to turbo-shaft engine acceleration, the optimal control law is correct,Turbo-shaft engine dynamic performance during acceleration process is improved.Limits protectionlaws impose restriction on state parameters by limiting the fuel flow, engine performance parametersare monitored during the operation, once one of them reach a certain requirement, limit protectionimmediately realize the control functionto ensure the security and stability of engine operation.
